Favorite fragrance at the moment...

Victoria Secret Pink: Sun Kissed

Since I can't sleep for the life in me tonight, here's a review!

I'm currently fragrance obsessed, I love trying new body spray and perfume. I was at the mall last week and made my usual trip to Victoria Secret. The last time I was there, I didn't find any perfume that impressed me but last week was different! I seen this little beauty sitting on the shelf and was immediately drawn to the peachy color. I opened the bottle, sprayed it, and immediately fell in love with the smell. You can definitely tell that there's vanilla in it, which I love, I'm all for anything with a vanilla scent! Anyway, what I liked about this fragrance is that it doesn't have a musky smell nor can you smell the alcohol in it(Victoria Secret can slightly guilty for this). I love the way it's not a heavy smell; it's light and doesn't choke you. I also noticed there was body lotion to go with it so of course I picked that up as well. I've worn this body spray everyday since then and have gotten lots of compliments on it.

What's your favorite fragrances? Do you like any by Victoria Secret?

Lindsey Stirling

Lindsey Stirling is probably one of the most amazing musicians I've ever heard in a long time. I love music and the fact that she plays the violin with a dubstep feel, is beyond awesome...there's seriously no word to describe it. I know she made several rounds on America's Got Talent but her Youtube videos was the start of a new path for her. My friend, Sheena, was the one that got me addicted to her unique style of music. I listened to "Electric Daisy" and kept it on repeat for DAYS. I checked every week(and still do so) to see if she has anything new posted on her Youtube account. Her most recent video, she collaborated with Pentatonix(you NEED to check them out!!), and again, I'm floored. I love their voices mixed with the sounds of a cello and of course, the violin! Lindsey seems so down to earth, goofy, crazy(in a good way), sweet, girl! I'm hoping to go see her live sometime, from what I hear/have seen, she puts on a badass show! If you don't know who this truly talented artist is, look her up on Youtube, you won't be disappointed! You can also find her on instagram and twitter, look up lindseystomp as the usernames.

Anyway, here's her new video with Pentatonix:

Favorite Beauty/Fashion Books Part 1

1. Face Forward by Kevyn Aucoin:
First off I just want to say Kevyn Aucoin was an AMAZING make-up artist. He was someone that truly loved what he did in life. He didn't think certain women should wear certain shades of lipstick or eyeshadow. He discusses beauty in every different form in women. He targets specifics about your skin and facial structure. The quality of the pictures are amazing in this book, definitely a jaw dropper. Kevyn goes into specific detail on how to apply your foundation and what you should use to apply it with. The book is full of different looks that did on celebrities such as Winona Ryder as Elizabeth Taylor look. I'd strongly recommend anyone that's a fan of make-up to purchase this book. The looks inspire me to do something different and to step out of my comfort zone a bit!

2. Lauren Conrad: Style
From talking about a scarf to spice up a winter outfit to hair accessories, Lauren Conrad hits the nail on the head when it comes to fashion. In this awesome book, she tells you what jeans would look right on you and what size pocket(if any) that you should go for. I also love the fun photos of Lauren, she's absolutely gorgeous! She shares information of what inspires her and unique looks to go for. I'd also recommend this book to anyone that is into fashion and beauty!

Cancer: A pain in the neck, literally.

I keep getting asked on why I've lost so much weight when I was already skinny to begin with so here's the long story behind it.

I was diagnosed with Papillary Cancer at the end of July last year aka thyroid cancer. For those of you who have no idea what a thyroid is, here goes! A thyroid is a gland that releases hormones relating to growth and metabolism. It's a BIG factor in your body and a lot of people don't know that! I've had my neck checked since I was 19 years old because I've had nodules inside my neck since then. The last ultrasound I had, showed that one of my nodules grew and was sent for a biopsy. The doctor told me I had papillary cancer right then and there. My surgery was August 2nd of last year. I had to miss 3 months of work. It was a very hard time in my life...I had to have a round of radiation to kill out any remaining cancer cells.

Anyway..I have to take medicine everyday for the rest of my life. The medicine was too high therefore, I lost 10 lbs. I fluctuate from 103-105lbs now. I'm 5'3" keep in mind BUT my doctor said as long as I'm not going under 103, he's not going to worry about it.

I get lectured everyday on how tiny I am, I can't help that.  You didn't know my story but now you do.

Urban Decay: Half Baked

I jumped onto the Urban Decay bandwagon, FINALLY. I made my very first UD purchase at Ulta. I've seen so many awesome reviews on their eyeshadows so I decided to pick out a color. If you know me, you know I absolutely LOVE bronze/brown/gold colored eyeshadows. My eyes scanned through all of the shadows then I found one that caught my eye. My eyes were drawn on the 'Half Baked' color. It's got the shimmer, which I love so I think it would blend great with a matte brown. The texture is light and glides on your eyes smoothly. I also think this color would go well with MAC's eyeshadow in 'Woodwinked'. The colors are similar to one another but I think blending them together would really flatter your eyes.

The pricing was about the same as MACs eyeshadows. I bought Half Baked for $18.00, not including tax of course. I believe it's well worth the price for it's qualities. I'll definitely be repurchasing this; I can't wait to try their other eyeshadows either!

What's your favorite Urban Decay eyeshadows? I'd love some recommendations!

NARS Illuminator: Laguna

I've heard all the fuss about NARS products from different Youtubers and well, I convinced myself to buy one of their products. I browsed around and decided to order their Illuminator in Laguna. I love bronzers and anything that will make you look darker/exotic so this was right up my alley.

The packaging detail wasn't anything overdone, simple but it suits NARS, in my opinion. I bought the biggest size that they had, which was 5.5 oz.

I was so excited when I pulled out the product, I felt like a kid!  As soon as my eyes laid on it, I noticed the shine against the light. I had a feeling I'd be addicted to this product in no time, which is what I was hoping for! I opened the lid and I don't know what it is, but I have to smell new make-up products, I don't know why. I guess I'm a weirdo!

As you can tell it's quite dark when it's first on the skin. The texture is nice, not oily or doesn't make you skin feel heavy.

After rubbing it in this is what it looks like. I love how it makes my skin look, I'm all about shimmering effects on the skin. It makes you look exotic and would be perfect to use in the summertime. I have olive skin tone so it blends perfectly and enhances my skin quite a bit. The product kind of reminds me of Milani's body bronzer, only this product has a lighter feel to it. It makes my skin look gorgeous. I also think it would be appropriate if you were going out at night to have that extra glow to you. I'm all about beautiful skin and this definitely leans towards achieving that effect. All in all, I'm very pleased with this product. Without a doubt, I'd repurchase this beauty. I can't wait to try more NARS products!!

What do you think? Do you like this Illuminator? I would love to hear your input on this!

xoxo
